All stories have similar plot structures. However, not all stories end the way you assume they're going to end. Sometimes, a story ends with am unexpected twist-a surprise ending. Most writers will hint at the surprise ending by providing clues along the way.

DIRECTIONS: Read each story event in the following chart. Then complete the chart by identifYing clues from each event that suggest the surpnse ending.
